Man on St. Thomas Turns Himself in After Altercation with Girlfriend

A man on St. Thomas turned himself into police Monday on charges of assault and domestic violence, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Javier Lima, 29, was arrested and faces charges of assault, domestic violence and disturbance of the peace, according to the police report.

Lima’s girlfriend received treatment on Nov. 29 for multiple bruises and a broken wrist after an altercation with him, the report stated.

Lima was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing. No bail was set in this matter as per the DV statutes.
