A man wanted by police in connection with an assault has been apprehended, the V.I. Police Department reported Thursday.
Caelin W. Henry, 25, of Estate Ross on St. Thomas, was arrested in the area of the Oswald Harris Court housing community on Wednesday after the VIPD issued a wanted alert for him on Tuesday.
His alleged victim stated that while at the Sapphire Beach Resort beach bar on Sunday he tried to defuse an argument between his stepson and wife. The victim stated that Henry knocked him to the ground and began punching him numerous times in the face and about his body, resulting in multiple injuries, according to the VIPD report.
Henry, who is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, according to police, was transported to the Richard Callwood Command where he was read his rights and then placed under arrest, per the Virgin Islands’ domestic violence law. He was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections, where he awaits his advice of rights hearing on Friday, the report stated.
Henry is charged with mayhem, false imprisonment (domestic violence), third-degree assault (domestic violence), aggravated assault and battery (domestic violence), third-degree robbery (domestic violence), grand larceny (domestic violence), simple assault (domestic violence), and disturbance of the peace (domestic violence), according to the report.

According to V.I. Superior Court documents, Henry was charged in 2020 with possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession or sale of ammunition.
Under a plea deal, he pleaded guilty in February 2022 to a lesser charge of failure to report/register a firearm, according to those court documents. At a hearing in June, the original counts were dismissed, and he was sentenced to a suspended sentence of two years in the Bureau of Corrections and two years of probation, fined a total of $1,075, and ordered to immediately seek full-time employment, the documents state.
In January 2021, Henry was charged with negligent driving and operating an uninsured vehicle, and fined a total of $325, according to court documents.
