Man Physically Assaults Wife on St. Thomas, Police Say

A man has been arrested on St. Thomas for physically assaulting his wife, the V.I. Police Department reported Wednesday.

Rasheen St. Juste, 45, physically assaulted his wife during a verbal dispute on Sept. 7 at the R2R Lounge, according to the police report.

The victim stated that St. Juste strangled her, causing her to fall to the ground, where she sustained further injuries. The victim further explained to investigators that she immediately went to the Richard N. Callwood Command to file a report regarding the incident, the police report stated.

St. Juste turned himself into the Domestic Violence Unit, where he was arrested and awaits his advice of rights hearing, the report stated.

Anyone having information about this crime can notify the Domestic Violence Bureau at 340-774-2211 Ext. 5535. This case is presently under investigation by the Domestic Violence Bureau/CIB.
