All Saints Cathedral School took first place on Wednesday in the first round of the 25th Annual High School Appellate Moot Court Competition, which is being hosted by the Virgin Islands Bar Association.
The ASCS team members are Kimorah-Lin Blackett, Josuhar Espinola and Kejuan Harrigan. They were coached by attorney Tina Comissiong. Cleopatra Skerritt is the team’s teacher representative.
The team will vie for the title of Territorial Champion on Thursday, May 23. The winners will receive scholarships of $1,000.

The 19th Annual Kayak for Kids fundraiser for Queen Louise Home for Children was a success, garnering more than $25,000 in funding for the residential foster care program. Thirty-five participants kayaked along the west shore of St. Croix on Sunday. Though there were fewer paddlers than in years past, the energy and charisma of participants brought an atmosphere of love and appreciation for the program and the event.
