A mid- to upper-level ridge will promote warm temperatures and limit any significant shower activity. Early morning showers that do develop are associated with a surge of moisture across the local area. Winds will increase to 20 miles per hour Sunday as daytime high temperatures hover around the low 90s.
A northerly swell and fresh easterly winds will yield choppy six-foot seas. There is a high risk of rip currents along the eastern coastline of St. Croix and a moderate risk of rip currents along the remaining territorial coastlines.
