Saturday will be mostly sunny, with scattered showers and the temperature falling to around 77 degrees by 5 p.m. Winds will be from the east around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with isolated showers before 3 a.m. and a low around 69. Winds will be from the east-northeast around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sustained winds in excess of 17 knots are expected across most of the local waters, where choppy seas up to 6 feet are likely. There is a high risk of rip currents for the northern beaches of St. Thomas and northern and eastern St. Croix. The risk is moderate elsewhere.

The tropics are quiet at this time.
