! The National Weather Service has explained that there will continue to be a chance of rainfall and thunderstorms on Tuesday. A tropical wave is forecast to pass by the region during the second half of the week, increasing the chance of rain. Saharan dust is also expected at the end of the week.

TUESDAY’S WEATHER FORECAST: 7/23/24

Happy Tuesday!

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a chance of rain and thunderstorms. The high temperature will be approximately 87°F, 30.5°C. There will be gusty winds out of the east at about 18 to 20 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. The chance of precipitation on Tuesday is roughly 50 percent. 

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy with scattered showers. The low temperature will be approximately 81°F, 27.2°C, and winds out of the east will be about 18 to 21 mph, gusting up to 26 mph. The chance of rain on Tuesday night is roughly 50 percent.

MARINE WEATHER UPDATE

There will be some gusty winds around the islands which may cause wind-driven, choppy seas.

On Tuesday, the seas will be approximately 3 to 4 feet, with occasional seas up to 5 feet. Winds will be out of the east at about 15 to 20 knots, gusting up to 25 knots.

HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS

Rip Currents: On Tuesday, the risk of rip currents is projected to be moderate across most of the region. 

Choppy Seas: Gusty winds may generate wind-driven, choppy seas.
