Police Investigating After Man Shot in Bordeaux

 

Police are investigating after a man was shot Monday evening near the fire station in Estate Bordeaux on St. Thomas.

The Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to the area on the west end of St. Thomas at 5:46 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired and a man down. Police also traveled to Schneider Regional Medical Center after learning that a gunshot victim had arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported in a press release.

The victim told the officers that he was in the area when he heard gunshots, then realized he was shot in the leg and caught a ride to the hospital, according to the release. The victim also said that he did not see who shot him and declined to give any further information, it stated.
